It was Mark Twain that said, “Dance like nobody’s watching; love like you’ve never been hurt. Sing like nobody’s listening; live like it’s heaven on earth.”
Our family is pretty good at it. This last weekend, my nephew Davis was married to a beautiful girl named Leanne. It was a joyous weekend celebration with our big, fabulous (weird) family.
We know how to dance like nobody’s watching:
This is my sister-in-law, Lynn. The mother of the groom “bustin’ a sweet move.”
Bible Boy/ Minister Man/ Husband of Mine front and center: No matter the recent shoulder surgery, he’s owning the dance floor with the fam.
Cousins and more (L to R): Becca, Emily, Katelyn, Jenny, and Sara
My other sweet sister-in-law Lisa > Pretty sure that was Doobie’s China Grove
As you can see, I take my dance responsibilities pretty serious at family weddings. Center is Will 3 taking Lisa through the infamous ’720.’ (Listen to audio clip below for details.)
We just met Jenny … and we are so pleased that she has the “dance like nobody’s looking” philosophy down pat. What a relief …

Thanks for sharing this special family event, Susie. What a joyful occasion. The wedding photos were so beautiful–and what a beautiful bride! What wonderful memories for all!
