Wanna lose weight? Preload in style … for free!

There is a some good news on the weight loss front … if you want to lose weight and keep it off, researchers suggest you ‘preload’ with water.

Preloading is simply drinking 16 ounces of water before every meal. Scientists say that not only does it trick the stomach into fullness but it also reminds you that you are dieting …

Those that preloaded lost nearly 5 pounds more than those that didn’t and they maintained their weight longer – even slimming another 1.5 pounds in the following year.*

So here’s to preloading in style. And going green in the process. With my new favorite water bottle.

I was completely faithful to my Swiss SIGG until the SIGG scandal. (They basically did some major false advertising about BPA in the lining – which I was actually willing to forgive – except for the fact that when I went to the trouble to contact the company, they ignored me. Oops.)

SO … I stopped using the SIGG and found this little darling: The Klean Kanteen. I picked it up just down the street at Whole Foods. Reasons to love it:

    The best weight loss trick I have found is to breastfeed as long as you can… Hehe… I have an 8month old and am still going… It makes you parched therefore you drink more water. Wish me luck…

    Hi Susie! I have found one of the best tricks for me is to eat EVERYTHING with a fork and knife, and do it very slowly. I take delight in the conversation at the table, and I take a drink of water after every bite. Most of the time, I find that I am satisfied after just a few bites of whatever it is I am eating.

    my best weight loss secret is something that i just learned not too long ago…eat less on cardio days and eat more when you plan to incorporate weights in your workout. it’s worked out great for me!
