say thanks … free fall note cards

Earlier this week, a sweet vintage ‘give thanks’ spoon made it to the 31 days of enough (and you get free stuff) which reminded me I need not only to give thanks to God … but also say thanks to some kind folks in my life.

So this morning, I sat down to write a few notes to a list of people I want to thank. For the nice things they have done for me ~ and the things they have given me.

As I sat down to stamp out my cards, I thought of you. And realized you probably have a list of people you’ve been meaning to thank (or encourage). But maybe because you’ve been busy or you haven’t made it to the store to find just the right card, you haven’t gotten around to it. And that’s when I got to thinking I could help.

So I stamped out 8 extra leaf/fall note cards for you. If you win, they’ll arrive in about a week. Just in time to get a nice note out during this upcoming season of thanksgiving.

To enter to win this little fall note card pack, tell us who is one person in your life you’d like to write a note to ~ and why. {Could be a teacher, a parent, a neighbor or friend … anybody at all!}

Saying thank you is more than good manners. It is good spirituality. ~ Alfred Agache

This is such a nice giveaway! If I won, I’d write a nice note to some of my girlfriends– one is having a baby, another friends’ grandma just had a stroke, another friend lost a baby, etc. It would be nice to know I’m thinking of them!

There are some fantastic young women who have poured into my girls, encouraging them, speaking truth into their lives, listening to them…I should drop them each a note letting them know how thankful I am for them.

  3. What a sweet and thoughtful gift. We can never send enough thank you cards to encourage and love up people. Whether it is a soldier, a neighbor, a friend, or family… everyone I know loves to get the old fashioned, non email card in hand communication.. I was just thinking how I should send my grand children and children cards… just because… and there are 2 friends also that I would love to drop a note card in the mail too! Thanks for this sweet opp.

I am Queen of getting cards in the mail. Why does my heart smile so big when I drop a card in the mail to my Aunt Virginia, Aunt Mary, Aunt Rose, etc. I sent Halloween pkgs to my 3 great nieces and great nephew this week I love to give (my Grandmother use to call them “carinitos”, little acts of love) but moreover, I just like to let people know I am thinking of them. I keep Hallmark in business. One of the simple things that brings me great pleasure. I would use your cards to keep bringing smiles to folk’s faces, when they check their mail and show them how grateful I am that they are in my life. :)

What a sweet idea, Susie. You’ve inspired me to print some of my photos into note cards. Handwritten notes are a lost art…needing a revival ♥

I’m thankful for my husband. He is living a difficult life right now, caring for his father who has Alzheimer’s, while I work as a teacher. But when I come home, he is always willing to listen with kind eyes to me ‘vent’ any and all the frustrations that have wandered my path throughout the day, but always ends with “Now, tell me about the good in your day.” I LOVE that!

I’d like to write a note to my Grandmother Clark – now in Heaven. I’d tell her how grateful I am for her investment in my life by taking me to church when I was barely 7 years old. I’d tell her that I have never forgotten our times together watching Lawrence Welk and eating sardines (happy to say I don’t eat sardines now!!). I’d tell her how much she inspired me to become the woman I am today. I’d tell her how much I love her and how much I am looking forward to hugging her when it is my time to step into Heaven. I’d tell her all this and more for that is what she meant to me…so much more. I love the art of writing thank you cards. Thank you for reminding me. :o)

I’d like to write a note to my dear mother-in-law! I love her so much but have not taken the time to write to her to let her know…

  10. Melis says:

Will these thank you notes make it to heaven? I would love to thank a special music minister who helped me see myself through God’s eyes and changed my life forever.

  11. Shannon J says:

I would like to write to My sweet grandmother who now lives in an assisted living home, I have written her many notes over the years thanking her for her influence and I recently found them all…..

  12. Kathleen in SC says:

Several different family members. We’re having a baby in a few days (c-section) and just moved in the last month and a half. I’m very thankful for all of the help- I couldn’t have done it without them. =)

  13. Amy Z. says:

This is such a great reminder, there are a few friends that I need to thank for being lovely and caring people in my life :)

  14. Anna says:

I don’t actually want to win stuff, God knows I have enough stuff already, but I love that you’re doing this. I am going to give away something that I was given but never use, I think it’s time for a new home. But I’m sad about it! Why? Why do we get so attached to our stuff? It is so silly.

  15. I just wrote a thank-you note (a few actually) to some friends who blessed our family in a time of need. LOVE note cards!!
