When it’s time to clean out your closets …

Will and I had the chance to teach together at our church a couple weeks back on the subject of Will’s book Enough: Finding More by Living with Less. If you’ve been hanging around the last few months, you might remember I blogged on the topic of Enough for 31 days in October.

I am just now sharing this video because …

  • I feel ridiculously self-conscious watching myself on the video.
  • I wish Will and I had some kind of color coordination coach before deciding what to wear when teaching.
  • Compared to sweet, southern Brandy Barr’s charming 1 minute intro … Will and I are lacking. In southern charm. And drawl.

Okay. But really. Watch this video if:

  • You know it’s time to clean out your closets but lack the motivation.
  • You need to get the stuff you have more organized … eek.
  • You’d like to be a more giving person and need some practical ideas. Yes.

love you much! happy wednesday!

PS. How about killing 2 birds with 1 stone > listen to the message while cleaning out your closet!

Thanks for posting this, Susie. I am going to go back and try to find the earlier videos for the series. What you said about not letting our stuff own us really hit home. I went through a home purge a few months back and it felt so good to clear out space and share with others who were happy to receive gifted items. And I no longer waste so much time organizing, sorting and finding storage space for those ‘outgrown business partners’! And one more thing….your sweater is beautiful…so don’t gift that away! Happy weekend

Thanks for sharing this message, Susie. It IS something of which we need to be constantly reminded, especially living in a society that is driven by the accumulation of things.

I liked that one of the “related posts” was “how to clean & quiet your house.” THAT is where I am now. I’ve been working on the decluttering and have given much away (although still have way too much and am continuing to whittle it down), but now I’m working on making my home “clean and quiet.” I’m doing the same in my office. I love the look of your friend’s home.

Thanks for your words. They continue to convict and encourage.
