People always ask, “How did you end up on the radio?”
Truthfully, I stumbled into radio. It’s kind of a funny story actually. About 4 years ago, I had an interview to discuss my book Loving Your Man without Losing Your Mind and while I was there I met the program director / host of 105.9 FM The River, Gary Walsh. After the interview, Gary gave me a call. The conversation went something like this:
Him: What do you think about being on the radio with me during morning drive time?
Me: Sounds fun but I don’t know anything about radio.
Him: Yes … I know.
Me: I might say things I shouldn’t …
Him: Hmmm. Yes, that’s right.
Me: Okay, then – I’ll give it a try.
And with that, I landed on The River’s Family Friendly Mornings working with Gary and Roxanne Wilson. After a fabulous 2 year stint, the station sold to Crista Ministries and became Spirit 105.9 FM.
