Honey Beer Bread {with Fat Tire Beer}

I suppose you could use something other than Fat Tire Beer for this recipe but gracious this amber ale makes the best bread.

Though I’m not a beer drinker, Fat Tire has “toasty, biscuit-like malt flavors coasting in equilibrium with hoppy freshness” that makes a delicious loaf of bread.

It’s crusty and wonderful.

The insides are dense and incredibly soft.

Absolutely perfect with a little pat of butter. And oh-so-easy to make. Try it! I just know your family will love it. I doubled the recipe because there were eight of us for dinner and there was only one thick slice left. Planning on toasting it this morning for breakfast … if it’s still around!

Honey Beer Bread {with Fat Tire Beer}

2 c all-purpose flour * 1 1/4 c rolled oats * 1 T baking powder * 1 t salt * 1 t brown sugar * 1 T honey * 1 12 oz. bottle Fat Tire Beer * 1/4 c butter, melted

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.

In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, oats, baking powder, salt & brown sugar. Drizzle honey over the dry ingredients, then pour the beer on top. Mix just until blended. Spoon into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle melted butter over the top.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown. A knife inserted into the top of the loaf should come out clean.
