This afternoon, I went to a funeral. A friend’s mom lost her battle to cancer.
I never liked that verse. I thought it was morose. Unsunshiney. But upon going to the funeral I was reminded: Life is short. And at the end, the important thing is what you leave behind. The impact you leave on people.
Not toys gathered. Not work accomplished.
Quite simply, it is the legacy you leave.
